Interactive Campus Map Help
The following is information on the usage of the Interactive Campus Map:

Zooming In and Out
Zooming on the map is controlled in two different ways; with the mouse scroll wheel or the in map control buttons. The mouse scroll wheel can be used to control zooming when the mouse pointer is over the map by rotating the mouse wheel forward to zoom in (as shown in the below left image) and rotating the mouse wheel backwards to zoom out (as shown in the below middle image). Map zooming can also be controlled by the in map plus (+) and minus (-) control buttons located in the top left corner of the map (marked in red on the below right image).
Moving the Map Around
The map can be moved around by using the mouse when it is over the map (and not on a building marker) with a left click and hold then by dragging the mouse in the direction you want the map to move (as shown in the below image).
Finding a Building with Free Form Building Name Search
To have the Interactive Campus Map center on a building of interest, first open the "Find Location" plain (marked in red on the below image) on the left menu by clicking on it.
In the "Find Location" the first text box (marked in red on the below image) is for doing a search for a building with only part of the buildings name to get a list on possible choices.
After clicking the "Find Building" button, the Results plain will open and show a list of possible building matches for your entry, click on one to center the map on that building. (Has shown in the image below.)
Finding a Building with Building Lists
To have the Interactive Campus Map center on a building of interest, first open the "Find Location" plain (marked in red on the below image) on the left menu by clicking on it.
In the "Find Location" plain there are different lists of buildings depending on how you are looking for a building, these include by Name, by Number, by Registrar Code, and only Campus Housing. Select the proper list by clicking on the list type header (choices are marked in red on the below image).
Find the building list in the scrollable list and click on it to have the map center itself on that building. (Has shown in the image below.)
Building Information on Mouse Over
Holding the mouse over one of the blue building number markers on the map (marked in red on the below left image) will show more information and a picture of the building in a pop up balloon (marked in red on the below right image).
Getting Building to Building Directions
In the "Directions" plain you can get the general direction from any building on UK's Campus to any other building on UK's Campus. Select the starting building from the drop down menu that says "Select a sstarting building" and select the ending building from the drop down that says "Select an ending building" (has shown in the below image). Optionally you can select one or two intermediate stops in the route by selecting a building from the drop downs that say "Optionally add intermediate stop" (also shown in the below image). Then click the "Show Building Route" button when finished selecting buildings.
After clicking the "Show Building Route" button the Directions plain will switch to the "Results" plain to show the list of "As the Crow Flies" distances from the starting building to the destination building with any the extra stops that are selected and the map will recenter to show the route from start to finish (as shown in the below image) marked with red lines connecting the selected buildings that are marked with red push pins.
Getting Directions From an Address to a Campus Building
In the "Directions" plain you can get turn-by-turn directions from any street address in the US to any building on UK's Campus. Type the starting street address into the "Enter Driving Start Address:" field and select a campus building from the "Pick Driving End Building:" drop down menu (has shown in the below image), then click the "Show Driving Route" button. Additionally you can select "Quickest" (default option) or "Shortest" as the route type to generate.
After clicking the "Show Driving Route" button the Directions plain will switch to the Results plain to show the list of turn-by-turn directions from the start address to the destination building on campus and the map will recenter to show the route from start to finish (as shown in the below image).
